Today I’m going to review Upload Pre-Workout by Alpha Pro Nutrition‎. I’ve recently been taking Frenzy by Driven Sports and if you read my review, you’ll know I was thoroughly disappointed in it. I had planned to finish the tub before moving on, but I simply couldn’t stand it any more and had to get a replacement ASAP, so now I’m giving Upload a go. So let’s first take a look at the ingredients.

Upload ‘Tunnel Vision’ Matrix – 4,865 mg
Beta-Alanine, Agmatine Sulfate, N-Acetyl-Tyrosine, L-Glutamine, Taurine, Tri-Creatine Malate, Caffeine, Raw Coconut Water Concentrate, Dendrobium Nobile, Creatine Pyruvate, Rhodiola extract, Guarana Extract.

Other Ingredients:
Citric Acid, Natural & Artificial Flavors, Silicon Dioxide, Sucralose and Red #40

Initial Thoughts

I generally get suspicious when I see proprietary blends as I can’t help but feel that if a company is proud of their product and its dosage, they won’t be afraid to show it to the customers. However, Alpha Pro Nutrition have selected very high grade ingredients for this pre-workout supplement which had me very interested.

Effectiveness – 9.5 / 10

This morning I have the supplement a go for the first time and I have to say that I was blown away. Maybe it’s just due to the contrast between Frenzy, which I could literally fall asleep on, and Upload which broke through my hangover barrier and had me working out harder than ever. But to say the least I was very impressed with my first session on Upload.
I woke up this morning really struggling. I had a pretty big night last night at a friend’s house warming and simply opening my eyes was a struggle. About 20 minutes after taking a level scoop of upload I was wide awake and bursting with energy. I did my usual 40 minute workout but I felt as though I needed to keep going. I will probably be taking only half a scoop at a time from now on, as it’s more than enough energy and makes this great supplement last twice as long, doubling the cost effectiveness.

TL;DR

Upload has to be the best pre-workout I have tried, ever. I have to give a shout out to Aaron from AAASupplements for the recommendation on this one.
